Evidence answers clinical questions from sources you control: documents you upload, plus a built-in catalog. Every answer points back at the source it came from, so you can check it rather than trust it.
Ask something
Type into Ask anything…, or use a quick chip — "How would you treat …", "Help me prepare for …". You can link a patient or link a consultation so the question carries that context, and insert a template with a mention if you want the answer shaped like a document you use.
Collections and sources
- New Collection groups sources for a topic, a protocol, or a condition — your own guidelines, a payer policy, a set of papers.
- Upload documents takes files into a collection; HealOS extracts the text and tells you while it is working ("Extracting text…"). Pick or create the collection before you upload.
- Sources lists everything in the library, and Open source shows the original.
- Skills are reusable instructions — the built-in ones plus any you write, each with a label, a slug and a prompt. Use one to make answers come back in a consistent shape.
CPD
Sessions can be logged as continuing professional development activity, so the reading you already do is recorded rather than reconstructed at the end of the year.
What it is not
Evidence is a research assistant over the sources you give it. It is not a clinical decision-support system, it does not know your patient's chart unless you link it, and an answer is only as current as the documents behind it. Use the feedback buttons on an answer — "Not helpful" with a line of why is what improves the retrieval for everyone in your practice.
Evidence is open to every user on the account; no seat has to be granted.
